PKH offers half-day and full-day SUP trips, inflatable kayak ‘Ducky’ trips, and daily gear rentals for all the equipment you need to get out and go adventuring. Standup paddleboarding (SUP) is the most fun you can have on the water with no previous skills or experience. SUP is extremely easy to learn, making it a great option for kids or adults who don’t necessarily consider themselves athletic. SUP is also perfect for kayakers who want to spend the day with their non-kayaking friends. SUP offers the chance to improve balance, build core strength, and focus on your surroundings or company for a change.

SUP’ers seeking a challenge need not stick to the lakes, though. Pucón offers plenty of SUP river routes within a short drive of PKH headquarters. You’ll find no shortage of fellow adventure seekers either – so let us know if you’re interested in a group trip. Save money and make new friends, what could be better, right?

SUP Trips

New to SUP? No worries! Unlike kayaking, which requires mastery of the roll before heading out on many rivers, SUP skills are easily picked up. While the first moments of standing on your board may be disorienting, you’ll find your confidence (and balance) increases quickly. You could stand on your board for the first time in the morning and paddle your first river by evening.

Ducky Trips

A inflatable kayak, also known as a ducky, is a great way to see the river. Ducky’s are big enough to handle the most common river features with ease, yet small enough to be maneuverable for paddlers with limited or no prior experience.  PKH has several new high-quality NRS ducky kayaks available for rent or for guided trips down the river. Each can carry two adults and the rental fee includes paddles, lifejackets, helmets, wetsuits, and shoes.
